Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Sales Progressor to generate revenue for the company by achieving property exchanges. The primary role of the Sales Progressor is to proactively manage and speed up the progress of the property sale to achieve a successful exchange of contracts in an efficient and timely manner whilst keeping all clients updated.

The Role
  • Achieve targets as set by the company
  • Ensure company appointed processes are adhered to all times
  • Collate information and updates on the progress of the sale and related transactions
  • Liaise with all parties within the transaction including but not limited to solicitors, vendors, buyers, mortgage advisors and estate agents.
  • Compile reports based on the updates provided and issue to our clients as required
  • Proactively manage the progression of the property sale to minimise the chances of an aborted sale and achieve a swift legal completion
  • Proactively manage and deal with issues that arise to minimise impact on timescales
  • Provide high levels of customer service by maintaining relationships with clients, vendors and purchasers
  • Gather and file appropriate documentation for Money Laundering purposes
  • Provide a forecast of exchanges to the management team as and when requested
  • Maintain the our clients values at all times when interacting with colleagues and clients
  • Promote and encourage use of our clients ancillary services at all times
The Person
  • Ability to build rapport with a range of professionals: solicitors, housebuilders, estate agents, vendors, purchasers etc
  • Excellent customer services skills and telephone manner
  • Organised and structured
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Knowledge or experience of estate agency, residential conveyancing, the assisted move and part exchange process

The Role

General Responsibilities

As business Development Manager it is expected that all stages of the sales process will be managed effectively and successfully.

 

Targets are for new business. The only repeat business that will accrue is that that is contracted and business that comes from Target Accounts. Target accounts will be agreed upon after the first month.

The Person

Administration

The database is expected to be the main source of leads and it is expected that records will be kept and added in an accurate fashion.

All site photographs and quotations are to be added and maintained

Adherence to the database procedures is essential.

Forecasting and Sales Planning

Accurate forecasting is an important part of this role and as such regular meetings with the MD to forecast will be necessary.

Input will also be expected in terms of sales planning for future growth. This will be done in conjunction with the MD.

The Managing Director reserves the right to change sales areas if this is proven to benefit the company

Commission Plan

Our Client is a very sales oriented company and expect sales staff to achieve and exceed their targets and be rewarded accordingly.

Please see attached the Commission Plan. This plan covers bonus payments up to 120%. Where this figure is exceeded the incumbent will be paid at a rate no less than the 140% rate, but after analysis may expect to receive extra.

The Role
