Job Description

Experienced Design Engineer is required to join our outstanding client based on the outskirts of Colchester. Working from their fantastic site, this is a great opportunity to utilise your skills in design. Previous background in interior and furniture design with a bias in Mechanical Design is essential.

The Role
  • To work within the design office to promote new ideas on materials, styles, finishes and lighting whilst respecting the necessary functionality and budget
  • Costing of materials and processes proposed will be an integral part of the job
  • Ideas and proposals will need to be communicated in high quality renders for customer approval and full engineering CAD models and drawings for manufacture
  • Will support the design team in the production of broader manufacturing drawings

 

 

The Person
  • Experience in styling (interior and exterior), interior design and furniture in addition to a mechanical design base.
  • Mechanical design experience is also required and the ability to use Solid Works is a must for this role
  • Good communicator and outgoing person to be able to work directly with clients and other designers to come up with innovative design concepts and make these realities via CAD models and engineering drawings to provide detailed instructions to either our team of craftsmen or sub contract companies.
  • Ideally a degree or similar qualification in a technical discipline

 

 

Benefits to you

Our leading UK Manufacturing client is currently seeking a Sales Representative to join their team. Working to drive new business, the successful candidate will be in charge of a specific geographical area, building relationships and providing expert product advice at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone that has previous manufacturing and engineering sales experience.

The Role
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving business aims, including costs and sales.
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
  • Compile list of prospective customers based on information from newspapers, business directories industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites and other sources.
  • To maintain a high level of product knowledge of both the Company’s and Competitor’s products.

  • Ideally have some technical knowledge of pumps, boilers or ventilation, although training will be provided
