Job Description

The GBN Group are pleased to offer this amazing opportunity for a customs and Administration supervisor based in Chelmsford. This job will involve working closely with the Customs and Operational teams.

The Role
  • Completing a day to day customs clearance activities as instructed.
  • Advising supervisors of any areas requiring attention.
  • Identify any potential problems before they have an adverse effect on operations.
  • Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Create and amend ERTS manifests.
  • Keep operational staff fully informed of any holds, exams or other areas which may cause delay to a shipment.
  • General administrative duties for other departments when requested/time permits; and
  • Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

 

The Person
  • Candidate would need to have 1 years minimum experience within administration
  • Able to deal with all queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Constructive relationships with operational staff and clients where appropriate.
  • Great time management.
  • An eye to succeed.
  • To be able to work well with other and individually.
  • Achieving agreed individual objectives.
  • Understanding and adhering to all Woodland policies and procedures relevant to the role.

The Role

The Role
  • Management and control of the consumables stock base, including negotiation and procurement of all consumable stock parts, machinery and maintenance spares, safety clothing and footwear and office stationery.
  • Control of the cost base for the above parts and supplier sourcing and selection.
  • Processing of all internal purchase requisitions in accordance with department procedures.
  • Maintenance of the Company’s consignment stocks for raw materials including weekly inventory reconciliation and production of reports.
  • Management of the Company’s consignment stock of plating chemicals including monthly re-ordering and preparation of usage reports as required.
  • Understanding the MRP system and analysing its data and from that, raw materials scheduling and        ordering as required and in accordance with department procedures.
  • Maintenance of the Company’s Service Contracts (including Vending machines and Photocopiers)          and ensuring the Company receives ‘best value’ for these services.
  • Liasing with Quality Control, Accounts and Goods Inwards in respect of supplier quality problems,  ensuring that any reject material is promptly collected and credited or replaced as required.
  • Regular progress chasing of all purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensure that delivery targets are achieved and advising the Purchasing Manager immediately of any serious delays with deliveries           which could impact any of the Company’s production activities.
  • Verification of all order acknowledgements and advising Purchasing Manager of any discrepancies.
  • Verification of goods received daily.
  • Filing and safe storage of all department records & correspondence and general housekeeping of computerised purchase records.
  • Liasing with Accounts Department to resolve invoice queries and supplier payment problems.

The Role

• Reporting to a build supervisor on a day to day basis and working within a build team consisting of all trades necessary to delivery a large and technically complex product.
• You will comply with the normal health and safety regulations within a modern manufacturing company.
• You will have to have the ability to solve problems and be a self-starter. You will receive on the job training and experience whilst working with a team of highly qualified tradesmen.
• The job consists of fabricating and assembling large bespoke products.

The Role
  • Assisting with the preparation and service of breakfast, lunches and evening meals for up to 85 residential visitors and staff, and occasional meals for non-residential groups, in accordance with health and hygiene regulations

  • Ensuring laundry is completed in a timely manner: working in the laundry, operating machines and pressing (after appropriate training)
